Welcome to my home page

My name is Eddie (some people call me "Bush") and this is my home page. I am a native of Thibodaux, La., but live near Nashville, Tenn., now. That's me and my wife Carolyn on our most recent vacation to New England. We're standing near the front lawn of a home once owned by artist Norman Rockwell near Arlington, Vermont.

This is our home in Murfreesboro, all decortated for Christmas right after it snowed. Carolyn decorated the house herself, using tips she gleaned from magazines like Southern Living and some of our favorite television programs on HGTV and Christopher Lowell (His is one of her favorite programs. He's a little too much for me at times.)

We had the house built right after we were married. We figured we would get rid of our individual houses and make a home for both of us. So far, we've done all right, although we're still working the bugs out of the house. (Our most recent surprise was when a locked door popped open during the middle of the day. We both lost a couple of hours of work rushing home after the alarm went off. The police didn't find anyone there and it turned out that the culprit was a foundation that is settling. We had to have the contractor come out and readjust the door catch.)

People who have seen us together say we make a cute couple. When you see our dogs, you'll understand why. Carolyn and my dog, Bubba, have approximately the same hair color. Carolyn's dog, Krista, has short dark hair and a salt-and-pepper beard, like me. Bubba's behavior has improved greatly since Carolyn and I started dating. She's helped train him (and me) so that he's not such an embarassment in public. (She's still working on me.) Ask us about the "dry cleaning needed on the center aisle" incident at PetsMart. Krista is better behaved than Bubba and me. Krista likes to play fetch and tug-of-bone (the doggy version of tug-of-war). She helps to keep me and Bubba in line. Here we all are at Christmas:
